My template for the role of Aunt Gohar in "Snow falls silently" was my grandmother

Pantea Sirous, the actress in the series "Snow falls silently" directed by Pouriya Azarbayjani and produced by Mohammadreza Shafiei, and written by the late Masoud

Behbahani-Nia, which is currently airing on Seda Sima Network, stated in an interview with Saba Radio and Television reporter: After the Persian New Year in 1399 (2020-2021), I was offered this role, and the series went into production in Tir month. I had previously worked with Pouriya Azarbayjani in the film "Everything's Fine Here" and received the award for Best Supporting Actor for my performance in that film. The experience of working together had created a good acquaintance between me and the filmmaker.

She added: When Azarbayjani offered me the role, my initial assumption was that such a character had been repeated many times before. However, through our conversations, I understood that he wanted to present new forms and dimensions of this role that had not been explored before. That's why I trusted him and accepted the role.

The actress continued: I am a disciplined person in life and have complete faith in my work. So when I learned about the complexities of my character in "Snow falls silently," I realized that I am capable of bringing the character to life very well. Aunt Gohar's role is about a woman who believes in what she does and sacrifices her dearest possessions, which are her children, sending them off to war and spending her days waiting for their return. The job she does in the series seems to me to be the hardest job in the world because describing the state of a mother who sends her children to the battlefield cannot be done so easily.

The actress added: My template for this role was my grandmother. I had a very religious and faithful grandmother, so when the role of Aunt Gohar was offered to me, I decided to draw from my own grandmother's essence to breathe life into the character. Furthermore, my goal was to live the role in this work because I believe that if you want a good role to come across on screen, you must live it.
