No one spared any effort for "Gildokht"

According to Mehr News Agency, a press conference was held today, Tuesday, 8th of Khordad, for the TV series "Gildokht," directed by Majid Esmaeili and produced by Mohammad

Reza Shafiei at the Public Relations Department of IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting).

Majid Asadegan, the writer of the series, stated: "I heard people saying that they hadn't watched television for a long time, and they started watching this. The first episode may have its weaknesses, but I hope we can create outstanding and captivating series that people will watch."

During that period, we had pioneering women.

He also spoke about the story, saying: "The script was written in Mehr 1392 (2013). Our goal was storytelling. We had a research team. Another point was that we wanted to have an Elizabethan drama, and I think this aspect, the grandeur and allure, has also caught the audience's attention. When we look at that period, we had many pioneering women. I didn't have any other choice here, and I had to go towards such a progressive woman."

Reza Akbarpour, an actor in the series, briefly said: "Being part of this series was like an acting university for me."

Mitra Rafiee, the lead actress of the series, expressed her thoughts on the production: "The writers and creators of 'Gildokht' trusted young and unknown actors. We were evaluated, and we didn't deny it from these dear individuals. It's good not to deny the youth. It takes courage to take risks and trust."
