The Minister of Guidance's opinion on the film "Gholamreza Takhti"

According to Jahan News, the film "Gholamreza Takhti" is one of the seven films released during the Persian New Year and has been screened since the past 25th of Esfand

(the last month of the Iranian calendar) and has sold over 59 million tomans. Directed by Behram Tavakoli, this film is a production of the Artistic and Media Organization of Ouj and depicts the life of the late Takhti from childhood to death.

The film participated in the 37th Fajr Film Festival and won Crystal Simorgh awards for Best Cinematography and Best Set Design after being nominated in ten categories.

Seyyed Abbas Salehi, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, who deliberately did not watch any of the works at the Fajr Film Festival, recently watched the film "Gholamreza Takhti" and wrote about it: "Takhti is a contemporary Iranian legend, a symbol of heroism and anti-imperialism. The film 'Gholamreza Takhti' is a delightful narrative of this legend, depicting the depth of solitude and estrangement at the peak of glory and fame."

The portrayal of Takhti's suicide in the film has faced significant criticism so far. The director of the film has stated: "The decision was made to put an end to the controversies surrounding the wrestler's death, but the important point is his life and way of living."
